HNC Construction Level 4

This course is designed to take candidates to the next level within the construction industry by preparing them for a supervisory or management role within the industry. This course will give students a broad understanding of the construction industry, with topics such as construction technology, building services and environmental science and legal and contractual procedures.

Who is this qualification for?

This course is perfect for candidates who wish to pursue a professional career in the construction industry and allows them to specialise by further study.

Construction Surveying Technician Apprenticeship

This qualification covers the monitoring and control of costs and contracts on construction projects.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal to gain skills for assisting senior managers with budgeting, control of costs during project, selection and management of specialist contractors, contribute to the mitigation of disputes using accurate records, reporting of income and expenditure, valuation of project process and assist managers with legal and contractual issues on the project.

Building Services Engineering Technician Apprenticeship

This course is designed to develop students to be able to undertake the supervision of the installation, commissioning, or servicing of environmental technologies on construction projects.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for candidates to assist design teams with building services engineering solutions on construction projects, while controlling the quality of work and ensuring compliance with contractual conditions.

Construction Design and Build Technician Apprenticeship

On completion of this course, successful candidates will be associated with the co-ordination and communication of design information on construction projects.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for candidates who need to be able to identify client requirements in construction projects, as well as assisting architects with the development of project designs.

Construction Site Engineering Technician Apprenticeship

Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship

This qualification provides students with the ability to undertake supervision of specialist contractors and workers on construction projects, while understanding the importance of management principles, resourcing and project planning.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for candidates who want to be able to work within their own level of competence by learning to plan for projects while measuring and recording progress. Students could use this course as platform to work towards a site manager role.

Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship

This qualification teaches the mechanism of buildings including electrical, plumbing, plant, safety systems and equipment. The course will provide the skills to be able to provide first and immediate response to fault finding in order to prevent major damage.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal to deliver the skills needed to optimise property condition and quality. Skills taught in this course will include carpentry, electrical, plumbing and decorating.

Entry requirements

Individual employers will set their selection criteria, but the standard includes Maths and English, understanding and functional application at Level 1.


Property Management Apprenticeship

With this qualification, you will gain an extensive knowledge in lettings and property management, with on the job training by industry professionals. The course covers areas such as; Negotiating tenancies, monitoring changes and assessing their impact in the local property market, maintaining managed properties and renewing and extending tenancy agreements and reviewing rents.

Who is this qualification for?

This course will suit you if you are working in the property management and sales sector and have moved from customer service/administration to dealing with viewing, negotiating price and valuing and marketing properties.

What could this apprenticeship lead to?

Careers leading from this apprenticeship include:

  • Estate agent jobs
  • Investment and property development

Entry requirements

  • Employers will identify any relevant entry requirements through selection
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their apprenticeship

Business and Professional Administration Apprenticeship

The qualification covers the essentials of business administration, allowing the student to develop the skills and knowledge required in a business environment. This course covers topics such as: business ethics, resource management, recruitment and selection and business law.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal to deliver administrative support services and contribute at a strategic level. You may be looking to lead or manage a team, or want to move on to such a role. You will develop a range of administrative and management skills, such as budget management and promoting innovation.

What could this apprenticeship lead to?

Careers leading from this apprenticeship include:

  • Office Manager
  • Personal Assistant
  • Business Developing Executive

Entry requirements

To qualify for enrolment on this apprenticeship, candidates must:

  • Not have completed a qualification higher than level 4, such as a HND or a degree
  • Must be an EU resident or have residency permission to work in the U.K
  • Must have significant experience in a business role
  • Must have achieved a foundation or higher diploma in business, administration and finance or a similar subject
  • Achieved GCSEs, A Levels or Level 3 advanced apprenticeship from another sector
