Geason learner wins top prize for the second year in a row!

‘2019 Berkeley Group Apprentice Awards’ – by Howard Shipp.

“I recently attended the 2019 Berkeley Group Apprentice Award’s at the Bridge Theatre in London. This was a very special celebration of an Apprentice’s success, and guess who walked away with the top prize, for the 2nd year running? Ruby Lee, a Geason Training Level 4 Apprenticeship in Construction Site Supervision learner who won the Berkeley Group Apprentice Award for Best Overall Apprentice for 2018 and 2019. A tremendous achievement from Ruby supported by Geason Training.”

Following a successful work experience placement with Berkeley Homes on the site management team, Ruby was offered the opportunity to join the team in an apprentice capacity after successfully completing her A-Levels. Level 4 HNC in Site Supervision was deemed an ideal apprenticeship to provide Ruby with the knowledge needed to start her career in the construction industry.

Ruby  had considered studying architecture at university once she had completed her A-Levels. However, she changed her mind and decided the apprenticeship route was for her after completing a work experience placement onsite.

When her apprenticeship is complete, Ruby is looking to undertake further qualifications and possibly another apprenticeship to extend her knowledge of site operations and management. She is also keen to gain more site engineering knowledge.

Reflecting on her learning experience with Geason, Ruby said:
“Howard, my trainer at Geason Training has been fantastic throughout my apprenticeship so far. Howard has always been on hand to guide and support me in my learning journey. “

The award for the Berkeley Division with the Biggest Impact went to Berkeley Southern, the first time Berkeley Southern has won this award. This is a division of the Berkeley Group that Geason Training also work with.
