Construction Operations
Construction Operatives carry out practical tasks that help skilled construction workers; this may include digging trenches, mixing and laying concrete, operating machinery, using equipment such as cement mixers, drills and pumps, and move, load and unload materials. The work can also involve driving construction site vehicles. Operatives are often responsible for keeping the site tidy and looking after tools and equipment. Following instructions from skilled workers forms an important part of the work.
This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 City and Guilds certificate which will enable them to apply for and obtain their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card) – either online or by post
