Curtain Wall Insulation
A curtain wall system is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, utilized only to keep the weather out and the occupants in. Since the curtain wall is non-structural, it can be made of lightweight materials, thereby reducing construction costs.
This qualification is aimed at those who work as installers of curtain walling systems. The standards cover the most important aspects of the job.
This qualification is at Level 2, although some QCF qualifications may have units at different levels and should be taken by those who are fully trained to deal with routine assignments. Candidates should require minimum supervision in undertaking the job.
This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 certificate which will enable them to apply for and obtain their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card) – either online or by post.
