Dry Lining Fixing

Dry Lining is the fitting of plaster board or other board material to finish walls and ceilings, in place of more traditional plastering. Many modern domestic and commercial properties will be finished with dry lining instead of plaster. It also involves fixing metal stud systems, board work and metal furring ceilings. 

Who is this suitable for?

This course is designed for workers within the dry lining trade to gain a recognised qualification. 

To enroll on this course all candidates must be 19 years or older with at least 12 months experience within the trade.

  • Moving, handling and storing resources
  • Installing dry lining partition systems
  • Building solid walling
  • Installing dry linings and encasements


The Assessment methods include:

  • Practical Assessment in the work setting
  • Opportunities to access group training
  • Individualised study

This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 Csklis Awards certificate which will enable them to apply & obtain their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card) – either online or by post.
