Construction Operatives carry out practical tasks that help skilled construction workers; this may include digging trenches, mixing and laying concrete, operating machinery, using equipment such as cement mixers, drills and pumps, and move, load and unload materials. The work can also involve driving construction site vehicles. Operatives are often responsible for keeping the site tidy and looking after tools and equipment. Also following instructions from skilled workers forms an important part of the work.

Who is this suitable for?

This course is designed for both new apprentices moving into a general construction operative’s role on a construction site or for existing employees wishing to up-skill and gain recognition for their skills and knowledge.
