The HABC Level 1 Certificate in an Introduction to Construction (RQF) provides a foundation of knowledge for a career in the construction industry. This qualification combines theory and practical training and supports progression to further role specific training.

Who is this suitable for?

This course is designed for new entrants into the construction industry wishing to gain some understanding and practical experience of the variety of trades in the Construction industry.

What will apprentices learn?

This programme covers the following subject areas:
» Health and Safety in construction
» Working in the Construction Industry
» Preparing for an Interview in the Construction Industry

Additional content will be included in one or more of the following areas as determined by the employer:

» Introduction to Building Maintenance
» Introduction to Joinery and/or Carpentry skills
» Introduction to Bricklaying skills
» Introduction to Plastering skills
» Introduction to Painting and/or Decorating skills
» Introduction to Electrical Installation skills
» Team Working to Handle Resources in the Construction Industry
