Passive Fire Protection

Passive Fire Protection involves the application and installation of various firestopping coatings and systems. This could include: installation of fire batt, applying intumescent coatings, spraying , collars, etc.

Who is this suitable for?

This course is designed for workers within the passive fire trade to gain a recognised qualification.
To enroll on this course all candidates must be 19 years or older with at least 12 months experience within the trade.

Course Contents

  • Erecting and dismantling access/working platforms
  • General health, safety & welfare
  • Productive working practices
  • Moving handling and storing resources
  • Optional units – candidates can choose two optional units. Ask for details


The Assessment methods include:

  • Practical Assessment in the work setting
  • Opportunities to access group training
  • Individualised study

This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 Cskills certificate which will enable them to apply & obtain their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card) – either online or by post.

Dedicated support
