Geason Training is proud to support Funding Neuro as its nominated charity. They will benefit from all general fund raising undertaken.

About Funding Neuro

Funding Neuro funds research focused on solving the common problems which hinder progress towards cures and effective treatments for all conditions which affect the brain and spinal column. Bryn Williams was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease at 36 years old and set up Funding Neuro as the registered charity to which people can donate. How you can help Funding Neuro

Funding Neuro stages spectacular and very different events to raise the money required to advance the research that will make the difference. Members of the Geason team have joined the Funding Neuro TryAthletes to raise funds through running, cycling, walking, climbing and swimming…TRYing to be an athlete in whichever way it suits them.

Environmental objectives

Geason Training is determined that all aspects of our operations should be managed sustainably, and that environmental considerations are an important factor in determining how the organisation should operate.

We recognise the need to be aware of carbon emissions, energy efficiency, waste management, recycling, water consumption and utilisation of low-carbon or renewable sources of energy and we are committed to implementing the following environmental objectives:

  • Reduce the carbon footprint of the firm.
  • Reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
  • Reduce energy use within all our premises.
  • Understand the environmental impact of our activities.
  • Comply with all applicable environmental legislation.
  • Keep environmental objectives in mind when planning any changes in our business.
  • Reduce energy and resource consumption.
  • Avoid the use of toxic and environmentally damaging materials where possible and prevent the accidental release of polluting substances.
  • Listen to staff suggestions on improving our environmental performance.
  • Regularly review this policy with the aim of continuous improvement.

Some examples of what we've achieved

  • Moving to a policy of double sided printing to save paper.
  • Changing the vehicle fleet to ECO friendly vans with speed limiting devices.
  • Carrying out server upgrades to save significant amounts of energy.
  • Encouraging all users to ensure that their computers are switched off at night.
  • Regulating the heating of the office to reduce energy wastage.
  • Ceasing the use of disposable cups.
  • Encourage the use of video conferencing where possible and the use of trains rather than cars.
  • Replacing our old monitors with flat screens which consume less energy.
  • Promoting the use of paper recycling for all paper waste.
