Technical Trainer -Cranes & Lift Equipment

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Trainer to deliver training covering overhead cranes and lifting equipment to learners within one of our centres or in the learner’s place of work. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who has a passion for delivering a high standard of training! Your main duties will involve all the following but not limited to,
• Conduct training and consultancy assignments to the highest standards
• Assist in developing course material and associated training aids
• Attend continuing professional development events
• Comply fully with the company management system
• Treat all delegates impartially
• To score delegates test papers and abilities correctly
• To use the most up to date training materials
• Devise technical training programmes according to organisational requirements
• Determine course content according to client requirements and prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.) accordingly
• Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
• Conduct on-site training when needed
• Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc
• Observe and evaluate results of training programs
• Determine overall effectiveness of programmes and make improvements
• Any other reasonable requests from the company

Key Skills:
• Good attention to detail and strong self-organisation skills
• At least 2 years industrial experience in Lifting and Materials Handling using Overhead cranes and lifting equipment
• Good working knowledge of lifting regulations including LOLER, PUWER, HASAWA, BS 7121 Parts 1,3 & 7
• Full UK driving licence
• Willing to work independently
• Self-motivated
• Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities


• Holds a current instructor qualification with a recognised awarding body (ITSSAR/NPORS/RTITB/AITT)
• IPAF instructor
• PASMA instructor
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proven experience as Technical Trainer
• Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
• Experience in designing technical course content
