Carpentry is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork, etc.
This programme allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry and joinery.
This qualification is for candidates who work or want to work as a site carpenter, bench joiner or a shopfitter bench joiner in the construction sector.
Assessment
This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 City and Guilds certificate which will enable them to apply for and obtain their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card) – either online or by post.
